Hello and welcome to my program. HT is a Hypertext program for the Amiga
which allows you to have links in a text based document to graphics, sound,
animation, music, other text, and even programs. The real docs are
included in the Documentation directory, so look in there for more info on
that sort of thing.
AmigaWorld recently published HT on their ToolChest disk. However, my
contract _explicitly_ states that they purchased one time publication
rights. The time HT was published has long passed and since I retained all
the rights to the program, I am now placing it in the freely distributable
category. If a sysop gives you lip about uploading HT, just be sure to
pass this along, or have them try to contact me. I'll clear things up
(plus I'd like to see HT widely distributed and USED).
Now that that's cleared up, lets get to the real stuff!
After you have extracted the archive, you should be able to just cd to the
hypertext directory and run the program! You may want to run HTInstall to
put HT somewhere else and make sure you have the (included) arp.library in
your libs: directory. The Hypertext directory contains all the information
you could possibly want and more, so just poke around there. Since HT is
about hypertext, you should only need to type "HT fancy_demo" and go from
there (there are links to all the documentation, and demos).
